We have just learned from the PA Department of Revenue that we can expect our e-file test results tomorrow (3/13/2014). Also, despite information to the contrary received from the PA Department two years ago, we have learned that practitioners should obtain a signed PA-8879 (“Pennsylvania e-file Signature Authorization”) for each return that they expect to e-file. Although the five lines on this form refer to the PA-40, we have been advised that we should modify this form to suit the PA-41. We will be incorporating this form into 6-in-1 immediately, and seek approval of this modified form within the next 24 hours. Thus, we currently plan to post a software update within the next 48 hours, and hope to receive PA e-file approval in the meanwhile.
